Timeless. Elegant. Fun. Consistent with impeccable attention to detail. No happy snappers. That was your starting point.

Your wedding photographer must love the challenge of naturally capturing the unique spirit of your wedding day, whether solemn, fun or full of romance.

Your photographs should to be full of honest energy, riotous fun, happy tears, shared laughter, real life and artistic beauty.

Friend & family groups are necessary, but an unobtrusive approach to sophisticated reportage photographs, plus elegant & natural photographs of yourselves, are more important.

Your wedding photography should not be a chore, but something you’ll remember fondly.

Yourselves and your guests want to have fun and this shines through in the incredibly natural yet exceptionally clear and clean photos I take.

I chat and laugh along with your guests so they don’t treat me as the uncomfortable guy in the corner; this allows me to produce my real, reportage results at every wedding.

During your couple portraits, you’ll never find me asking you to “pose your wrist like this”; instead we enjoy time together while I concentrate on the best moments, light and backgrounds.

I don’t brand myself as a “vintage” or “reportage” or “documentary” or “traditional” or “artistic” photographer – I am  just “me” and include the best elements of all styles in my work.

My 12 years in photography (beginning in the fashion industry) have resulted in winning National Photographer of the Year & “Queensberry Bragging Rights” awards.

Local weddings…

Manchester weddings

Having lived close to Manchester my whole life, I am very at home in this area of the north west.

I’ve photographed many brides & grooms in Manchester, around Castlefields and the centre, and worked at popular venues like the Lowry, Manchester Town Hall, Great John Street and The Midland.

I love the opportunities that Manchester provides, such as architectural arches, beautiful brickwork and aspiring alleyways.

Cheshire weddings

Cheshire is my home and I love the unique mix of rolling hills and quirky coffee shops.

The views available to the counties top venues, such as Rookery Hall, Mottram Hall and Arley Hall are enviable; and then there are the unique one offs like Peckforton Castle which people travel far and wide for.

Throughout the area, this green county and it’s many stunning Halls can be used to great effect for incredibly artistic photography.

Further afield…

I am based close to Warrington, so I cover many weddings in Cheshire or based around the North West of England and in the surrounding counties.

Some regular towns include Warrington, Liverpool, Altrincham, Bolton, Blackburn, Preston, Leeds, Tarporley, Chester and Stoke. However, I travel throughout the UK regularly and internationally with destination weddings too. I have photographed as far away as Wales and Scotland and abroad in Sicily and Italy. I love to travel.

I’ve photographed at some of the UK most stunning luxury venues too, such as the incredibly lavish Claridges in Mayfair, prestigious Peckforton Castle, gothic Allerton Castle, iconic Braxted Park, intimate Inglewood Manor, regal Knowsley Hall, memorable Chatsworth House, timeless Thornton Manor, relaxed Ashes farm and unique Styal Lodge.

When offered the opportunity, I take full advantage of stunning gardens at Kew GardensArley HallIscoyd Park and Coombe Abbey or the views of Lake Windermere. I’m equally at home with the extraordinary architecture in the urban  Great John Street Hotel & Manchester Town Hall.

If you’re looking for a winter wedding photography, I’m very experienced at working with the light on a shorter day and didn’t mind getting my feet caked in snow at Eaves Hall! Whenever I can, I rise to exclusive challenges such as a same sex weddingSteampunk weddingBoho styled wedding, Papakata tent wedding or Chinese wedding.

I also love the unique traditions of Muslim, Hindu and Sikh ceremonies in Asian weddings and am experienced with the traditions of each.
