Claire & Andy chose the stunning family home of Wrenbury Hall for their wedding. Offering exclusive use and beautiful grounds since 2001, they were incredibly well looked after throughout the day.
And so it begins..
Claire and her friends and family began with preparations at the family home. Her shoes, dress and jewelry were sat patiently waiting for the moment they would leave the house along with the wedding party. The bridal preparations is a fantastic opportunity for me to get to know the family and take time to preserve those all important wedding details.
The morning was a fun mix of makeup, laugher and emotions. One of Claires bridesmaids was a makeup artist, so she ably applied the finishing touches to the ensemble and they were ready to leave.
As they arrived at the Church, the guys were waiting for them and Andy had a beaming smile on his face thinking about the day ahead. Claire walked down the aisle to her waiting fiance and within no time at all they were signing the register which finalised their marriage and walking back as husband and wife.
Their friends and family patiently waited to congratulate the couple, who were overjoyed to see their guests.
After confetti, we traveled to Wrenbury Hall for the remainder of their wedding day. I used my reportage photography skills to capture fun and happy moments in the afternoon.
They had provided a great space for their guests to bask in the summer sunshine … and even a little exercise in the form of a badminton set! Soon, it was time for the natural couple portraits in the beautiful grounds of Wrenbury Hall; they were an incredibly loving couple and we had fun capturing their individual spirit together as newly weds.
Embarrassment is all around..
As the afternoon ended, they made their way into the stunning wedding breakfast room. Claire had adorned the table with photographs of the couple with each of the guests – an incredible trip down memory lane for everyone. Soon it was time for the speeches; a further chance for me to step back and capture the action as it happens.
I love this section of the day as it’s my goal to capture a few shots of the groom looking suitably embarrassed. I succeeded! After a few more photos in fading light, the final few duties of the day were successfully completed in the form of cake cutting and a superbly rehearsed first dance.
