Helen & Dave introduced me to Greek weddings… and what a boisterous affair they are!
Greek weddings start with a dressing ceremony where the Bride and Groom are dressed by their close friends and family. Dave was also shaved (!) by his friends before making his way to the Church. I loved this part of the day with the violins playing in the background – just fantastic for fun photographs!
Then it was Helens turn and her parents were an important part of her ceremony before they made their way to the Church. They were together as they walked down the aisle and a very traditional Greek ceremony joined them as man & wife.
The Maynard was their venue of choice and their guests particularly enjoyed the chocolate fountain full of juicy fruits and luscious brownies. They spent some alone time in the beautiful gardens at the Maynard before rejoining their guests for a beautiful meal and speeches.
The evening began with a first dance and some traditional Greek dancing. It was an incredibly fun day..
