Komal & Ajay were referred to me from Dharmendra & Divya from last year and I was really pleased to learn that I would be seeing them again at this wedding. It’s great to see how their lives are progressing together!
Back to this wedding. They were to have two ceremonies – Civil and Hindu – but they were also planning a party for friends one evening and I joined them in the centre of Bolton for that too.
The Civil ceremony was held at Mere Hall and it was fantastic to see the two of them exchange rings with big smiles on their faces, as they legally became man and wife. Afterwards we took a few photos of the two of them before making our way to Cinamon Fusion for friend and family to relax and enjoy a wedding meal together.
Then on to the evening at Capitol. They had a mass of shots ready for their guests and they made sure everyones glass was charged as they downed them in unison. Fantastic!
A week later the Hindu ceremony was to be held at Memory Lane function and banquet hall and it had been prepared beautifully, with a fantastic stage and incredibly vibrant colours. I love to watch the Asian wedding ceremonies – they are so different from the weddings I am used to and have been attending since I was a child. I now know the ceremony as well as the couple though and I also recognised the priest from several weddings over the last few years.
As they completed the final part of their marriage, it was fantastic to see their friends and family celebrate with them. They exited (and there were a few tears) and finally we returned to their house for final celebrations and a few fun Asian wedding games.
