All about Soughton Hall
Soughton Hall make no qualms about claiming that they will surpass your expectations when you visit for the first time.
This luxurious estate is an oasis of calm and class, set in stunning gardens that boast so of the most alluring and eye-catching bursts of colour anywhere whatever the season.
In spring it is the daffodils that catch the eye, in the summer the colours burst from every flower bed and in the autumn the striking red Boston Creeper takes the limelight.
The gardens make a truly idyllic backdrop for wedding photographs but so does the building itself.
Originally built as a Bishop’s Palace in 1714, Soughton Hall has been a cherished home to the Wynne-Bankes family ever since, playing hosts to bishops and knights among others. The building is breathtaking in its beauty, boasting twisting turrets and grand archways, having been partly designed by the architect of the Houses of Parliament.
The public areas are decadent and ooze with splendour. But there is also the option for to erect a marquee to give guests a view of this stunning palace, which makes a Soughton Hall wedding even more special.
